Frequently Asked Questions
Starting to work with a Virtual Assistant can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been doing everything yourself for a long time. Here are some answers to the questions I’m often asked. If yours isn’t here, just get in touch.
How does working with a Virtual Assistant work?#
Working with a Virtual Assistant means having someone remotely take care of some of the behind-the-scenes work involved in running your business.
Once I understand your business and how you like to work, you can send tasks over by email, shared documents, voice notes or whatever works best for you. I complete them within your allocated time, without you needing to constantly manage or chase me.
What types of businesses do you support?#
I specialise in supporting established wellness and health businesses, including therapists, physiotherapists, yoga businesses, wellness practitioners and other service-based businesses.
Because I already work within this sector, I’m familiar with many of the systems, admin and client communications involved in running a busy practice or wellness business.
What kind of tasks can you help with?#
My Virtual Assistant support can include:
• Inbox management and client or patient communications
• Appointment bookings and diary management
• Booking systems and online platforms
• Website updates
• Email newsletters
• Invoicing and basic bookkeeping admin
• Systems, processes and tech
• Social media support
• General business administration

And if something isn't on the list, ask me. A surprising amount of my work starts with, “Rachel, can you work out how to do this?”
Do I need to commit to a monthly package?#
No. I offer both ongoing monthly support and ad-hoc Virtual Assistant support, subject to availability. Ongoing support works best if you have regular tasks you’d like to hand over each month, while ad-hoc support can work well if you only need occasional help.
We can talk about what would suit your business best.
How do we communicate and share tasks?#
Whatever works best for you. Most clients send tasks by email, shared documents or voice notes. Some like an occasional check-in call; others simply send things over as they arise.
I don’t expect you to change the way your brain works to work with me, we’ll find a simple way of communicating that works for both of us.
How do I get started?#
Just get in touch. You don’t need to know exactly how many hours you need or have a perfectly organised list of tasks ready.
We’ll have a relaxed, no-pressure chat about your business, what’s taking up your time and what you’d like some help with. From there, we can work out whether I’m the right person to support you.
